Stillwater Bible Church is excited to invite you to Camp Tupos!

Camp Tupos Jr. Camp (T2) is for students who are currently 9-14 years old!

Camp Tupos Sr. Camp (T1) is for students who are currently 14-18 years old!

T1 Info

  • Who: Students who are 14-18 years old

  • Where: Camp Eden; Golden Colorado

  • When: July 17th-22nd, 2023

  • Cost: $600/camper

  • Registration: Due June 31st – Pre-registration will be available January 1st-June 31st @ stillwaterbible.org

  • Travel: We will travel for 11 hours (including a stop for a meal) in vans driven by qualified, trained, and trusted adults. There will be a minimum of 2 adults per van to insure limited distractions for the driver. Safety is our top priority.

  • Accommodations: We will be staying in cabins, but you might have the opportunity to stay in a tent! Don’t worry though, we will provide the tent.

  • 9:00am – Breakfast

T2 Info

  • Who: Students who are 9-14 years old

  • Where: Quaker Haven Camp, Arkansas City Kansas

  • When: May 29th-June 2nd, 2023

  • Cost: $400/camper

  • Registration: Due May 10th

  • Travel: We will travel in charter busses for less than 2 hours up to Ark City Kansas. There will be no stops along the way, but bathrooms are on board. Safety is our top priority.

TUPOS STAFF

  • Staff: All directors and cabin leader at Camp Tupos will have completed a minimum of 5 hours of training, including safety and emergency procedures. There will be red cross certified lifeguards and a nurse at camp at all times.

  • Directors: The Camp Tupos Director is Hunter Davis. Hunter has 7 years of experience in directing church camps and teaching and working with youth. Hunter is the current Youth Pastor at SBC. The Assistant Director, Brandi Barnes, has 7 years of experience with Children’s ministry and is SBC’s current Children’s Director. Hunter and Brandi have been thoroughly trained and equipped to run children’s events and camps and also train others on child safety. Both directors are highly qualified, experienced, trust-worthy, and consider safety a top priority.

  • Teaching: All teaching at camp T2 will be based on the Word of God. Teaching sessions are led by J.B. Bond & Hunter Davis. Cabin Leaders will be trained and equipped to lead their cabins in small group study times to reinforce the lessons being taught at camp. J.B. Bond is the Senior Pastor at SBC.

  • Cabin Leaders: The Tupos Cabin Leaders are highly trained leaders who are seeking to provide a godly example and teach the campers through God’s Word and their actions. All Cabin Leaders are required to go through training on child safety, sexual abuse awareness, emergency procedures, Biblical training and counseling, and proper camp safety and procedures. Each Cabin will have at least 2 leaders. There will be a minimum of 1 leader for every 8 campers.

  • Lifeguards: All swimming times will be monitored by a Red Cross Certified lifeguard.

  • Nurse: All nurses at camp Tupos have nursing experience. In the case of an emergency, we will always call 911.

FUND RAISING

  • Camp Tupos will do a World’s Finest Chocolate fundraiser in February for any camper that would like to raise funds to pay for their camp. Please contact Hunter Davis if you have any questions in regards to fundraising.

PACKING LISTS

T1

  • T-shirts: Bring several shirts. We will be playing a lot of outdoor games! Do not bring anything that is inappropriate. When in doubt leave it at home.
  • Shorts: Bring athletic/hiking shorts that you do not mind getting dirty. NO shorty shorts.
  • Shoes: Athletic/hiking shoes are needed. Bring an extra pair because if it rains we will keep playing! Close toed shoe are required, but flip-flops are nice for the showers.
  • Socks and Undies: Bring lots! It’s Camp!!!
  • Rainwear: Bring at least one rain jacket/poncho.
  • Swimsuit: You will want 2 swimsuits because we will have lots of water activities. Ladies, please bring one-piece or full coverage tankinis. Guys bring regular sized trunks.
  • Nice Clothes: Don’t bring anything you are not willing to get dirty, but there may be a time or two to dress up.
  • Cell phones
  • Walkie-Talkies
  • Pets: Not even cute ones!
  • Tobacco Products
  • Vapes
  • Alcohol or Drugs
  • Any Electronics
  • Guns, Fireworks, or Explosives
  • We recommend a sleeping bag, but twin sheet and a blanket should be fine.

  • Fan if you get hot
  • Toiletries: Toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap, the usual.
  • Tote: To take your toiletries to the bath house.
  • Towels: One for the shower, one for the pool!
  • Bible
  • Note pad
  • Pen
  • Water Bottle/Hydro pack: You will need at least one big one for the hike.
  • Backpack
  • Flashlight/Headlamp: May want extra batteries. We do a lot of night games!
  • Insect Repellant
  • Spending Money: For food on the way to camp and for the Canteen @ camp.
  • Camera
  • Medication: No meds will be kept in the rooms. Please put all your meds in a zip-lock bag with your name on it and turn this into the youth pastor. Meds will be turned into the Med Staff.
  • Earplugs: If you are a light sleeper!

T2
